IRM - Inventory Records Management
IUID - Item Unique Identification is a system of marking items delivered to DOD with unique item identifiers that have machine-readable data elements.
MAPAC - Military Assistance Program Address Code; similar in use to DODAAC
Mil-Std-129P - is the military standard that prescribes how DOD suppliers are to mark military shipments.
Mil-Std-130 - requires that an Unique Item Identifier (UII) be used for many items.
Mil-Std-2073 - is the standard of practice for military packaging.
MSL - Military Shipping Label
NAVICP - Naval Inventory Control Point
PBL - Performance Based Logistics
RFID - Radio Frequency Identification is an automatic identification and data capture technology comprised of one or more reader/interrogators and one or more radio frequency transponders in which data transfer is achieved.
UID - Unique Identification is a world-wide standard of marking parts with alphanumeric serial numbers that are unique across all participants. UID is also refered to as IUID, or Item Unique Identification. References to an item's UID are a misnomer for UII. This document may be guilty of making that mistake.
UII - Unique Item Identifier is a set of data elements marked on an item that is globally unique and unambiguous.
VAN - Value-added network
VIM-ASAP - Virtual Item Manager-Arn Supply-chain Automated Processing is the web application used by DSCP Clothing and Textiles to acquire RFID and ASN information from supplier.
VMI - Vendor-managed Inventory
WAWF - Wide area workflow is the web-based system for processing Receiving Reports, Invoices and other related electronic documents for defense contracts.
AIT - Automatic Identification Technologies
ASN - Advance Shipment Notice
CAGE code - A Commercial and Government Entity five-position alpha-numeric code applicable to all activities that have produced or are producing items used by the Federal Government.
CAGE Extension - Ship From entities that submit on behalf of a prime contractor should do so as an extension of the Prime, a relationship recognized and supported by WAWF.
Change Notice 4 (Mil-Std-129P) - This standard provides the minimum requirements for uniform military marking for shipment and storage. Additional markings may be required by the contract. Marking is "the application of numbers, letters, labels, tags, symbols, or colors to provide identification and to expedite handling during shipment and storage."
CLIN - Contract Line Item Number is a 4-6 digit number used to identify each delivery date and/or destination's quantity in the contract schedule.
Container - For the purposes of managing and reporting the RFIDs, containers are of three types: Pallets, Cases and UID-Units.

DODAAC - Department of Defense Activity Address Code is a six position code that uniquely identifies a unit, activity, or organization that has the authority to requisition and/or receive materiel.
eMALL - A single entry point for DOD and Federal government customers to find and acquire off-the-shelf items, finished goods and services from the commercial marketplace and government sources.
